UNIVERSITY PARK -- SMU stormed down the field on its opening possession, but once the Mustangs got inside TCU's 20, they stalled with two penalties, settling for a field goal.
That was pretty much how it went all night for SMU.
The Mustangs continue to show the ability to hang with Big 12 teams, but their inability to score touchdowns has become a major sticking point.
