FORT WORTH -- TCU junior catcher Evan Skoug could go into a long, technical explanation of what was wrong with his swing at the beginning of the season.
But sometimes putting it simply works best.
While the Horned Frogs were getting started in conference play, Skoug struggled at the plate. By the time he hit his third home run of the year, TCU had already played 20 games and he was batting .192.
"I was trying to do too much, get too fancy, so I went back to what I knew," Skoug said.
Whatever adjustments Skoug made clearly seem to be working.
