In more good-news-happy-fun-Monday land, Gary Patterson updated everyone on TCU’s quarterback situation. Shawn Robinson is set to have season-ending surgery, and Michael Collins will be the starter moving forward.
Robinson had been banged up for most of the season, but suffered what appeared to be a significant injury in the final moments of TCU’s game against Iowa State. He was down on the ground for several minutes, before being helped off the field, as trainers stabilized his left arm.
Robinson, a sophomore from DeSoto, had thrown for 1,334 yards and nine touchdowns this season, but had also thrown eight interceptions and fumbled the ball multiple times.
