One of the more underrated additions for TCU Football in the class of 2019 is graduate transfer Shameik Blackshear, a defensive end who brings much-needed experience to a defensive line that saw four players graduate out.
Out of Bluffton, South Carolina, the former Gamecock stands 6’5” and checks in at a developed 267 pounds. Once a four star recruit, Blackshear overcame injuries both in high school and once arriving in Columbia to be a productive player in US of C’s rotation, appearing in all 13 games in 2018, with two starts and a sack.
With Ben Banogu and LJ Collier headed to the NFL after All-Conference seasons, Blackshear will be crucial in helping to develop redshirt freshmen Ochaun Mathis and sophomore Brandon Bowen.
