Report: TCU basketball fires assistant Corey Barker amid links to corruption probe

TCU basketball has fired assistant coach Corey Barker after being linked to the ongoing NCAA men's basketball corruption probe, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Mac Engel.

Barker, who was in his third season on the coaching staff, had been on administrative leave since March 8, one day after he was reportedly linked to the probe.

In a March 7 court filing in the Southern District of New York, an unnamed assistant from a Texas university was alleged to have received a payment of $6,000 from former sports agent Christian Dawkins, with the intent of steering players towards Dawkins' agency upon declaring for the NBA draft.
