When KaVontae Turpin, TCU's brilliant return man and receiver, went down with a leg injury against Iowa State, it looked as though the Frogs would lose a major weapon on special teams.
Gary Patterson said as much in last Tuesday's press conference, noting that Turpin's loss would affect special teams more than it would the offense.
