FORT WORTH -- Several NBA scouts watched Washington guard Markelle Fultz get hit in the mouth Wednesday night.
Sometime early in Washington's road game against TCU, the star freshman and highly touted prospect was elbowed in the mouth. He tasted his own blood, stuck some gauze in his mouth and went about his business.
Fultz didn't seem to worry too much about the cut on the edge of his tongue or the interested sets of eyes that watched him in TCU's 86-71 victory at Schollemaier Arena. The 6-4 point guard is ranked as the top available prospect for the 2017 draft, per DraftExpress.
