Another state champion in the class of 2019, cornerback Kee’yon Stewart is signed, sealed, and delivered as a Carter Boy as of Wednesday am.
Stewart is a bigger corner for Gary Patterson’s defense, standing at a legit 6’ tall. The North Shore, Houston, native made his commitment Tuesday night, choosing TCU over Texas Tech and Utah down the stretch - three of the 21 offers the speedster had on the table. With 4.4 speed and a desire to seek out contact, Stewart could play either corner or safety for the Horned Frogs. He is a little reminiscent of a faster Derrick Kindred, and if he brings the intensity and leadership of Peanut, he will be beloved by teammates and fans alike.
