Michael Collins’ first-half spark not enough as Kyler Murray, No. 9 Oklahoma rout TCU

Backup quarterback Michael Collins provided a much-needed spark. It just wasn’t enough to rally TCU past Oklahoma.

The No. 9 Sooners proved to be too much for the Frogs, pulling away for a 52-27 victory on Saturday afternoon at Amon G. Carter Stadium. TCU falls to 3-4 on the season, the first time it is sub-.500 since 2013 when it went 4-8.

OU quarterback Kyler Murray showed why he’s in the Heisman conversation, throwing for 213 yards and four touchdowns with another 51 rushing yards. And running back Kennedy Brooks, a Mansfield product, had the best day of his young college career, rushing for 168 yards and a TD for the Sooners.
