Even before TCU baseball lost slugger Luken Baker to season-ending surgery, the Horned Frogs' offense was struggling to score runs. Losing their prime offensive force — for the second consecutive season, by the way — seemed like an impossible obstacle to overcome.
TCU (27-18, 8-9 in the Big 12) still has a lot of work to do, of course, beginning with a three-game Big 12 Conference series against West Virginia (25-21, 7-11) on Friday at Lupton Stadium, but so far the power vacuum left in Baker's absence has been filled with big contributions from others in the lineup.
