FORT WORTH -- Gary Patterson didn't let a bad mood stop him from giving unsolicited advice on how to deal with wives and young quarterbacks.
Whether dealing with an upset spouse or a quarterback going through a slump, the TCU coach offered a simple philosophy to keep both happy -- less is better. Sometimes it's best to keep conversation to a minimum and occasionally offer affirmation.
But that doesn't always work the other way around, especially the latter part.
"I don't expect my quarterbacks to say 'Yes, dear' to me, though," Patterson said Tuesday during his weekly news conference.
