FORT WORTH - As TCU men’s basketball ultimately rolled to an NIT first-round victory over Sam Houston State Wednesday, two versions of the Horned Frogs were on display for all at Schollmaier Arena to see.
In the first 14 minutes, there was the version of Jamie Dixon’s team that looked depleted, out-of-sync, and perhaps even disinterested.
Then came the final 26 minutes, where fans saw a TCU team that looked hungry, motivated and taking the court by storm with something to play for. That was the team that utilized a 21-5 run mid-game to seal an 82-69 win over the Bearkats.
