Former TCU safety Tre’von Moehrig has made the most of his opportunity as the starting free safety for the Las Vegas Raiders. During the team’s matchup against Denver on Oct. 17, Moehrig intercepted an overthrown ball from Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater for the first of what will likely be many picked-off passes by the 2021 second-round pick.
Moehrig also had two passes defended in the win over the Broncos. The former TCU standout has totaled 21 tackles, three passes defended and one interception over his first seven games. More importantly, Moehrig’s play on the back end has helped the Raiders improve their pass defense to ninth in the NFL at 222.
