This time it's for the Southern Miss post, which opened Sunday when Todd Monken accepted the offensive coordinator job with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His departure leaves the program in a tough spot with signing day less than two weeks away.
Could Meacham, TCU's co-offensive coordinator, be the man for the job? Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports thinks Meacham, whose name had been linked to the North Texas head coaching job (filled by Seth Littrell) and Texas A&M's offensive coordinator position (filled by Noel Mazzone), could at least be a "wild card" in the search for Monken's replacement.
