For sake of future, TCU hopes to find postseason innings soon for Nick Lodolo

TCU coach Jim Schlossnagle is eager to find innings for Nick Lodolo in postseason, whether it’s starting or in relief.

The freshman left-hander did not pitch last week in the Fort Worth Regional. TCU swept in three games started by Mitchell Traver, Jared Janczak and Brian Howard.

Lodolo made 14 starts in the regular season, going 5-1 with a 4.28 earned-run average. He struck out 69 in 73.2 innings.

“For the future of our team and our program, I want Nick to have a chance to pitch in this kind of environment,” Schlossnagle said during a press conference Friday at Lupton Stadium, where TCU and Missouri State will play a Super Regional starting Saturday.
