When DeSoto receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. orally committed to Colorado last spring, teammate K.D. Nixon had to take a look at the school. But although Shenault hoped his friend since the seventh grade would also choose the Buffaloes, he stayed out of the decision.
For the most part, anyway.
"I did talk to him about the Odell and Jarvis thing," Shenault said.
That would be Odell Beckham, Jr. and Jarvis Landry, who starred together at LSU and are now among the best receivers in the NFL. That's quite a pair to try to emulate, but the receivers who helped DeSoto win the 6A Division II title last month hope they can be a dynamic duo at Colorado.
