FORT WORTH -- TCU football (3-4, 1-3 Big 12) will head to Lawrence, Kan. this Saturday to take on Kansas (2-5, 0-4 Big 12), who has had a nasty habit of keeping things close with Horned Frogs in almost every meeting since TCU joined the Big 12 six years ago.
The upcoming date with the Jayhawks, however, took a back seat to in-house developments at TCU over the past 48 hours as head coach Gary Patterson took the podium Tuesday afternoon. Here are five takeaways from the presser.
1. WR KaVontae Turpin dismissed from team following pair of arrests
In the biggest development of the day, Patterson announced that standout wide receiver KaVontae Turpin was dismissed from the program as of Tuesday in wake of an outstanding arrest warrant in New Mexico that dates back to a domestic violence incident in March.
