TCU lost out on a major recruit Tuesday night, when 4-star defensive tackle D'Andre Christmas-Giles announced he would be attending the University of Texas. Christmas-Giles committed on a local New Orleans news channel.
Rated as the No. 32 defensive tackle in the country according to 247Sports Composite, Giles amassed 30 scholarship offers, including offers from TCU, Texas, LSU, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Miami, and Tennessee. The New Orleans native originally committed to Tennessee in August of 2015, and remained committed until mid-December. However, like many recruits in today's climate, a commitment didn't seem to slow down his recruitment at all.
