If it seems that the Frogs have done more late recruiting this year than normal, it’s probably because they have. Over the weekend, TCU added their second commit of the week when Mansfield Legacy senior athlete Demauryon Holmes pledged, one day after receiving an offer from the Frogs.
Holmes originally committed to the University of Central Arkansas, an FCS program. But, due to an illness in his family, the 6’1”, 200 athlete was released from his NLI and re-opened his recruitment, focusing on schools in Texas. Having developed a relationship with TCU assistant Zarnell Fitch during his original recruiting process made the decision easy for Holmes once the Frogs came calling again, according to Jeremy Clark of Horned Frog Blitz.
