KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- When Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby started seeing projections of eight of his teams in the NCAA tournament, he was skeptical.
Too many wins had to be distributed toward teams near the bubble for it to be a reality. A couple of weeks later, he's become a believer.
"We're pretty good top to bottom," Bowlsby said Thursday at the Big 12 tournament. "It would be hard to make a case to the contrary."
If the Big 12 fulfills some projections, it could become the first conference to have 80 percent of its team in the NCAA tournament.
