After a 7-6 overall finish in 2018, history suggests that TCU football is due for a bounce-back season this fall. Such has been the case for the Horned Frogs more often than not since head coach Gary Patterson took over the program in December 2000.

But as the narrative goes every fall, nothing is guaranteed. Any given Saturday, the unexpected -- rather, the unimaginable -- can become a reality in college football.
