Shawn Robinson signed with TCU out of DeSoto High School in 2016 as a 4-star recruit, making him the highest rated quarterback signee in program history at the time. He was named the Gatorade Texas Player of the Year after leading the Eagles to their first state championship under Todd Peterman, now the head coach of Brewer High in Fort Worth. A consensus top 10 quarterback in the nation and fringe top 100 prospect overall, Robinson tallied nearly 5,000 total yards as a senior, becoming an Under Armour All-American and earning an invitation to play in the annual Army Bowl.
