Yankees rally twice, defeat Rays 6-3

NEW YORK – Rays manager Kevin Cash talked about the Yankees the other day, talked about how to beat them.

“Get a lead early, I guess,” Cashs aid.

The reason is the one-two punch of Dellin Betances and Andrew Miller in the bullpen. With them the Yankees can make it a seven-inning game.

And that’s what happened Friday when the Yankees rallied twice and won the opener of this three-game series, 6-3 at Yankee Stadium.

Brian McCann drove in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning with a single that scored Carlos Beltran. It was the Yankees first lead of the night after trailing 2-0 and 3-2.
