The starting lineup is out for the Tampa Bay Rays for the first game of the World Series as they’ll take on Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The veteran Kershaw has dealt with injury issues this postseason and was even scratched from a start due back spasms. However, he has appeared in three games in the playoffs thus far, allowing seven runs on 16 hits — 3 home runs — over 19 innings pitched.
Kevin Cash has decided to employ a traditional R-L-R-L lineup against Kershaw. Yandy Diaz is in the leadoff spot and playing first, while Brandon Lowe is hitting second, despite his postseason long slump.
