The highlight of the day’s game, at least if you were watching from home, was the in booth interviews with members of the 2008 World Series team. Scott Kazmir, B.J. Upton, and more took their turns with on-air interviews, reminiscing about that storied 2008 team.
The game on-field, however, was less thrilling. Though it started well enough with a one-run lead for the Rays in the second inning when an infield hit for Willy Adames scored Carlos Gomez.
A Jose Abreu home run in the fourth tied things up for the White Sox, and so they remained until the top of the ninth when an ugly overthrow by Matt Duffy to first base allowed the Sox to score Leury Garcia, giving the Sox the lead.
