The Tampa Bay Rays closed out the season as one hottest teams in baseball.
From July 31st, until the season’s conclusion, Kevin Cash’s squad compiled a record of 37-19, the best mark in the majors over that time frame. The team was excelling in nearly every facet from the game, receiving key contributions for almost every player on the roster.
However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement. We’ve written this off-season already about the possibility of signing Nelson Cruz or trading for Paul Goldschmidt, but does that meet the Rays needs?
