The Rays Tank: Cardinals Find Their SP

***

This date in Rays History!

In 2008, the Rays signed journeyman left handed pitcher, Randy Choate. He would serve out of the Rays pen for the next two seasons and was very serviceable as a groundball machine and was a buzzsaw against left handed batters. During 2009, Choate set a new record for most number appearances in a season with 85 games, which is still a team record.
