As you well know the Rays swing the bat a lot. An awful lot. According to Fangraphs there is no team that swings more often, which isn’t necessarily a death sentence if they were doing well upon swinging, but the team is also dead last in contact rate. With the invaluable help of Baseball Savant we can take a more refined look at these things.
