The Rays’ first full workout isn’t until Friday, but 61 of the 64 players have already reported. The only players still missing are Evan Longoria, Desmond Jennings, and infielder Juniel Querecuto.
Two players who did not report early — or perhaps early enough — were pitchers Jacob Faria and Blake Snell, who were scolded by Chris Archer in front of the media for only showing up 30 minutes before their meeting on Sunday, according to Marc Topkin.
“You guys are the last two pitchers here,” Archer said. You guys have zero service time. You got no right to be coming in after me, really.
