Tampa Bay Rays News: Former Rays’ pitcher Chris Archer underwent surgery and will miss the entire 2020 season.
Former Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Chris Archer underwent surgery on Tuesday to relieve symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome.
According to Pirates director of sports medicine Todd Tomczyk, Archer was suffering from symptoms and discomfort just before the suspension of spring training this past March. Although he continued a throwing regiment at home, the symptoms continued.
Archer was traded to the Pirates in 2018 for Austin Meadows, Tyler Glasnow, and Shane Baz.
