The Tampa Bay Rays have won two in a row for the first time this season as they just barely were able to hold on against the Chicago White Sox during yesterday’s game.
The Rays drew 10 walks during the 6-5 victory with Denard Span and Joey Wendle accounting for half of those. Carlos Gomez blasted his 2nd home run of the season, a solo shot in the sixth inning as part of a multi-hit day. Mallex Smith and Daniel Robertson continued their hot streaks with two hits apiece as well.
Smith was active on the basepaths once again, stealing a base.
