The Rays lost again, but at least they padded their home run total with two more shots yesterday afternoon, and after all, that's the only thing that matters this season as everyone knows the dinger leads to the post-season,,,at least that's what I've been led to believe from the morning pamphlets I take in each morning.
Steve Geltz finally forced the Rays hand as he had yet another poor performance during the game, yielding yet another home run, his 7th of the season and 5th over his last seven appearances. He was optioned to Triple-A Durham and the Rays added Tyler Sturdevant to the 40-man roster, so he'll likely make his first major league appearance sometime over the next week before Brad Boxberger makes his much needed return.
