Last night, the Tampa Bay Rays were victorious over the New York Yankees, as they took a 6-1 victory.
Mallex Smith was the star of the show for the team’s offense as he continued his summer scorch with another three hit day, mashing a home run and a double as part of the multi hit performance. Kevin Kiermaier and Ji-Man Choi also had two hit days, as well as rookie Brandon Lowe, who finally tallied his first big league hit after 19 plate appearances.
On the pitching side of things, Jake Faria allowed a run on three hits, walking two and striking out two before giving way to Chaz Roe with one out in the 4th inning.
