On Friday, the Rays head north of the border to face off with their divisional foes, Toronto for the first time in the 2019 season. The Rays will use Ryne Stanek in his classic Opener role on Friday with Yonny Chirinos and Ryan Yarbrough the potential arms to follow.
The Jays started the season 2-1, but they have quickly stumbled since, losing eight of their last 10, most recently splitting a series in Boston in which they had the Sawks on the ropes in game two before blowing a 5-0 lead.
The Jays don’t have much to look forward to this season outside of the promotion of a few prospects who aren’t as good as Wander Franco (troll level: infinite), so they’ll look to be in spoiler mode all season.
