The Tampa Bay Rays were victorious last night, sealing another series victory as they defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks, 6-3.
The Rays improved to 23-12 on the season and maintained a two game lead over the New York Yankees for the division lead.
Brandon Lowe had an excellent day at the plate as he homered and doubled. Lowe now leads all qualified MLB rookies in fWAR (1.6). Yandy Diaz and Mike Zunino also had doubles for the Rays offense, meanwhile Kevin Kiermaier snagged two bases. Pitching wise, the only Rays pitcher to struggle was Adam Kolarek, who gave up two solo home runs during the ninth inning.
