Prior to the bottom of the 9th inning of Sunday afternoon’s Citrus Series finale, the Tampa Bay Rays had played lousily. They had showed signs of life, but way too late as they fell by one run in the first two games of the series.
With things looking dim once again on Sunday, the Rays rallied from a 4-1 deficit to load the bases with two outs, and now down, 4-2.
Daniel Robertson stepped in and made history as he launched the first walk-off grand slam in franchise history to give the Rays their first victory since returning from the All-Star break.
