The Tampa Bay Rays have activated right-handed pitcher, Chris Archer, from the 10-day disabled list and have optioned right-handed pitcher, Andrew Kittredge, to Triple-A Durham.
Archer went on the disabled list on June 5th with a left abdominal strain. He made one rehab start with the Charlotte Stone Crabs, racking up four nearly perfect innings as his only blemish on the night was a walk, meanwhile, he tallied seven strikeouts.
Overall in 2018, Archer has made 13 starts for the Rays and has accumulated a 4.24 ERA and a 3.80 FIP. Before going on the disabled list, Archer had started a decent four game run for the Rays where he surrendered just three runs over 23 2⁄3 innings pitched.
