Kean Wong, the brother of Cardinals’ second baseman Kolten Wong, is poised to finally make it to the big leagues in 2019. Wong has spent a majority of the past two seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays Triple-A affiliate, the Durham Bulls.
In 2018, the 23-year-old who can play a handful of positions including all 3 outfield positions, brought in 3 MVP awards.
- Durham Bulls 2018 MVP
- 2018 AAA All-Star Game MVP
- 2018 AAA Championship Game MVP
2018 numbers at Durham:
116 G // .282/.345/.406 // 9 HR // 50 RBI
The issue for Wong is that Joey Wendle, Brandon Lowe, and Daniel Robertson can all cover second, base, third base, and the corner outfield positions.
