A series that began with such high hopes and optimism has quickly filled with disarray. Friday's game should have been a victory, but the bullpen was again unable to keep the lead intact. Last night, Chris Archer had a poor performance and he combined with a couple of relief pitchers to allow 12 runs. The Rays bullpen these past two games have allowed seven runs over six innings.
The loss has put the Rays back at the .500 mark and two games back of the second wild card spot, but they are separated by three teams.
