It is not often that you see a manager call out a player for not hustling and even less often on a play in which the player picked up a triple. But that appears to be the case with Steven Souza Jr. on Tuesday night against the Angels.
Souza was pulled from the game in the fourth inning after hitting a triple in the bottom of the third. According to Todd Kalas, there was no injury involved. So it appears that Souza was pulled because of the triple.
With two outs in the bottom of the third inning, Souza hit a lazy fly ball to right-center.
