NEW YORK -- The latest in a rash of snowy weather delayed manager Aaron Boone's home debut and Giancarlo Stanton's first at-bats at Yankee Stadium for another day.
After snowy conditions forced a postponement on Monday, the New York Yankees will face the Tampa Bay Rays in the home opener late Tuesday afternoon.
Monday's game was postponed roughly 3 1/2 hours before the scheduled first pitch because of snow. It was the fifth snowstorm to come through the New York area along with four nor'easters last month.
"It was really coming down, so obviously not surprised to get here and hear it was called pretty quickly," Boone said.
