The lefty is making his first start in the Major Leagues since 2009. Hill began his career as a starter, but arm problems forced him to the bullpen. Hill returned to the Red Sox's organization after a two-start audition with the Long Island Ducks.
The lefty will make his second home start since missing more than three months with a torn labrum. He has pitched to a 4.15 ERA in five appearances since returning from the injury, though he allowed four runs over five innings in his last outing.
