SEATTLE — There are ample coffee options, great scenery and wonderful food in Seattle.
It’s a great place to visit, especially in the summer.
Just not for the Rays.
The Rays go into play Friday night having lost their past nine games there, 0-for-2016-2018.
Is there something about Seattle? The length of the trip? Any legit reason?
“I hope it’s random,"’ Rays manager Kevin Cash said. “We’ve lost many different ways there. We’ve lost by games getting separated early, we’ve lost by some walkoffs."
The nine-game losing streak is the Rays’ longest in an opposing ballpark since dropping nine straight at Boston in 2007-08.
