We knew there was going to be a lot of moving parts with the Rays roster at some point this season, and we hit that point last week. Trips to the IL, pitchers getting called up to throw a few innings before being sent home, and an exciting prospect added to the taxi squad for the ongoing road trip. At this point in the season, the Rays depth will really be put to the test.
Darby Robinson joined the show today in what was a much more uplifting performance from the Rays this weekend. Playing against the Yankees, who currently lead the AL East, the Rays were able to record a shut out in the opener, win one of two 7-inning games in a double header, and cap off the weekend with a walk off single from Michael Perez.
