Rays win 5-1 after lengthy rain delay

Richie Palacios would score on a wild pitch in the second to open the scoring, 1-0 Tampa Bay.

Zack Littell threw five scoreless innings, his first scoreless outing since March 30, doing so while striking out four.

And then, well, the skies opened.

A rain delay lasting two hours and thirty-nine minutes halted the series opener, and when play resumed, the Rays offense caught another gear.

Palacios would double in Josh Lowe to make it 2-0 in the sixth, and Bobby Witt Jr. would belt a solo shot, his 13th on the season, to cut the Rays lead in half.
