OAKLAND — The Rays traveled cross-country on Wednesday night to continue their three-city, 10-game, 11-day roadtrip in Oakland, and they couldn’t get out of New York soon enough.
Take away two series losses at Yankee Stadium -- most recently this week's ugly three-game sweep in the Bronx -- and the Rays are unbeaten in road series this season (8-0-2), so they entered Thursday's series opener in Oakland hoping to recapture some of that success away from the Trop.
