The Rays acquired first baseman Jesus Aguilar from the Brewers on Wednesday. In exchange for the right-handed hitting first baseman, Tampa Bay sent right-handed pitcher Jake Faria to Milwaukee.

Slow to start
Aguilar, 29, took three years and a change of scenery to get his career off the ground. He debuted with Cleveland at 24 in 2014, appearing with the Indians in parts of three seasons. After Aguilar collected only 58 at-bats and hit .172 with Cleveland, the Brewers signed him off waivers in February of 2017.
