The Tampa Bay Rays have agreed to terms for the 2024 season with eight of their 10 arbitration-eligible players, including a unique deal for rehabbing ace Shane McClanahan.
Sugar Shane has signed a two-year, incentive laden contract while he recovers from Tommy John surgery, which he elected to have on August 21 last year, that will pay a base salary of $3.6 million in 2024 and 2025, with escalators for games started this season, which would increase his 2025 salary by $120,000 for each start.
