Fox Sports Florida has announced that Emily Austen “not scheduled to appear on any upcoming Fox Sports Florida or Fox Sports Sun broadcasts” after video surfaced of her making racist comments during a web broadcast with Barstool Sports.
The video, which was originally broadcast live on Facebook, was later deleted, and then uploaded to Vimeo. It was then picked up by several outlets, including Deadspin.
In the video, Austen’s comments included:
- She “didn’t even know that Mexicans were that smart.”
- The “Chinese guy is always the smartest guy in math class.
