Rays coach Rocco Baldelli is one of five finalists for the Blue Jays manager's job, Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reported.
Three other finalists were said to be Astros bench coach Joe Espada, Giants farm director David Bell and Cubs bench coach Brandon Hyde. The fifth was not named. Per the report, in-person interviews with the finalists are underway.
Baldelli has been a "hot name" among candidates for at least five of the current openings. He has also interviewed with the Rangers, Reds and Twins, and is reported to be of interest to the Angels.
